Sustainable Product Solutions

Within our range are numerous products that are a more sustainable option. In particular, our concentrates and Tetra Pak packaging help to drastically reduce packaging waste and CO₂ emissions. Concentrates not only save space and packaging materials, but also reduce energy consumption by eliminating the need to refrigerate unopened packages. In addition, some of our juices are organic and included in the Green Key window, contributing to environmentally friendly operations.

Sustainable Packaging: Less Waste, More Efficiency

Our products, including concentrates and monos, are packaged in Tetra Pak packaging, which contributes to a circular economy. These packages:

  • Consist largely of renewable materials such as FSC-certified cardboard from responsibly managed forests.

  • Are fully recyclable, allowing them to be reprocessed into new products after use.

  • Are lighter than traditional packaging, which not only saves material, but also reduces transport weight and thus CO₂ emissions.

Thanks to the use of Bag-in-Box packaging for our concentrates, Oranka saves enormously on packaging waste. Whereas 120 liter packs of fruit juice produce over 6.1 kg of waste, the same amount of Oranka 1+19 concentrate produces only 0.4 kg of waste. This means a significant reduction in residual waste without compromising on quality and taste.

Smart Transport: less carbon emissions

Not only our packaging, but also our logistics approach is focused on sustainability. Because concentrates take up less volume than ready-to-drink juices, less transportation is required to deliver the same amount of beverages. This translates directly into lower CO₂ emissions.

  • The production and distribution of 120 liter packs of fruit juice produces the same carbon emissions as a car driving 42 kilometers.

  • With Oranka’s concentrate juices, this is reduced to just 2.1 kilometers.
